How to take care of your hair to make it shine

There are a lot of advertising on TV and on the Internet, promising that a magical shampoo or an air conditioner will make your hair glossy and healthy in no time. However, in reality, taking care of your hair requires quite a lot of time and effort. Despite the fact that hair is actually dead, it does not mean that you should forget about it. On the contrary, you should make your hair an important component of your ideal image. In this blog, we will tell you how you can achieve this goal effectively and without much effort.

Of course, the first thing to remember is to wash your hair regularly. Here are some tips how to do it effectively:

Get your hair really wet before applying shampoo.

Do not use big amounts of shampoo – it will be enough to apply a squirt about the size of a quarter.

Take time to massage the shampoo into our head but do not scrub too hard.

Rinse your hair well, until you see no signs of bubbles.

Dry your hair gently with a soft towel.

Use a wide-tooth comb to comb your hair carefully in order to avoid breaking it or pulling it out.

Avoid hair dryers when it is possible because they may damage the structure of your hair.

If you feel that your head is itchy and flaky, the reason could be that you have chosen the wrong shampoo or that you do not rinse all of it out. While the second problem is easy to solve, the first one requires visiting a dermatologist if trying different shampoos does not help.

The frequency of washing hair is individual and may depend on your type of skin as well as on what you do during your normal day. If you realize that you hair gets oily very quickly (which is often the case with straight, thick hair), you can wash it once in a couple of days. If your hair is curly and dry, it can be washed much less frequently. Do not forget to use a conditioner to make your dry hair look glossier.

Another important aspect is protection. You may be surprised how many things can break your hair or make it too dry. Be careful about:

The sun. Wear a hat or a cap when you have to stay in the sun for a long while.

Chemical elements, especially chlorine. If you go to a swimming pool, wash your hair afterwards.

Dyers and other treatments. Everything that changes the color of your hair or makes it curly or straight can damage it.

Things used for styling. Flat irons, curling irons, hair dryers and such like things will easily break your hair.

Do not forget that despite all promises you hear in ads, you cannot cure split ends because your hair is dead and cannot recover. The only thing you can do is to cut split ends off.
